This year’s guest speaker at the danish bahá’í summerschool, is Beppe Robiati from Italy, who is participating with his wife Mehry.
Beppe Robiati speaks about “The pen of Bahá’u’lláh and his writings – Immerse yourself in the ocean of my writings”
Beppe Robiati was born in Asmara in 1947 and spent his youth in Ethiopia. He then moved to Italy, where he graduated as an engineer from the Polytechnic University of Milan. He is married and has two children. He lives in Milan and has been a member of the National Spiritual Assembly of Italy for many years.
In his professional life, he is the Chairman and CEO of an industrial group based in Milan, with activities both in Italy and in other European countries. He has travelled to many parts of the world, such as South America, the United States, Africa, Asia and Australia, broadening his interests and experience from engineering to management, human resources and economics.
Beppe was a co-founder of the EBBF, the European Bahá’í Business Forum. He has also written several books that explore crucial themes at the interface between economics, faith and modern society. Among the titles are: “God and Economics – A Possible Combination” and “Economics for a New World Order”.
He teaches at the universities of Trieste, Siena, Trento, Rome, Bologna and Pisa. At the Faculty of Economics in Bari, he teaches a course on “Ethics and Economics – Towards a New World Order”.
Mehry Robiati speaks about “Marriage and family life”
Mehry Robiati was born in Iran and grew up in Italy, where she has been an active member of the Italian Bahá’í community and has served on several committees. She is married to Beppe Robiati and together they have two adult children.
Professionally she graduated in Philosophy with a focus on Psychology at the University of Milan. She immediately became interested in challenges in relationships and began to hold theoretical and practical courses for couples in preparation for childbirth and parenthood. She has worked in the field of family development, and for over 40 years has held courses and conferences for municipalities, associations and libraries throughout Italy and abroad. She actively collaborates in hospitals and teaches at the School of Professional Nurses.
She has also written a book on relationships: “Corals and Pearls”. The book has been translated into English, Portuguese and Chinese.
